Covid Pandemic Shipping
All live arrival guarantees are paused during times of national disasters, shutdown/closures, riots, any shipping companies not able to honor their guaranteed delivery services USPS/UPS/FedEx. We will continue to ship orders the best way possible to avoid delays however buyer assumes all risk for lost/missed delivery/DOA. Any delay in delivery due to shipping companies error will not be honored and any DOA as a result will not be replaced/refunded/credited. By placing your order - confirms you are in agreement of our terms and will not hold us responsible. Such exclusions to our guarantee terms will remain in effect until normal shipping operations resume. This is assumed at which time shipping companies once again honor their delivery dates/times and offer refunds for service failures. NO exceptions of any kind for any reason during this special exclusion period.
Our preferred shipping method is UPS/FedEx 2nd Day for live orders. FedEx ground /home delivery/UPS Ground outside of a 2 day delivery time frame from our shipping location is NOT covered under any guarantee of live arrival whatsoever and is shipped at your risk. USPS Priority Mail (not a guaranteed 2-3 day service and may take longer to many locations) is not a premium shipping service and may be substituted for FedEx/UPS ground shipping if more then 3 days in transit. All live orders are shipped Monday - Wednesday for 2 day services, Monday - Friday for ground. We make every effort to ship the same day as long as we receive your order by 10 am EST, Monday - Wednesday and your order is in-stock. If your order is received after our cut off, we make every effort to ship your order out on the next available business shipping day. FedEx overnight orders can be shipped on Thursday most weeks, but you must call to confirm shipping as orders are not monitored. You'll receive a tracking number with every order via an automated email at the time of shipping. Our shipping prices are calculated on the weight and postal code we'll be shipping to. Our automated shopping cart will automatically calculate the different shipping options for you. Just add the items you wish to purchase; on the next page you can see the shipping rates and choose the best option for you.
We offer shipping to Canada of our silkworm eggs and silkworm chow products. The process no longer involves a permit on the customer side. We will provide all necessary permits/papers for your shipment to clear Canada customs. You will be responsible for duty and taxes, along with customs broker fees due at time of delivery (this is in addition to any shipping paid). Shipping should be done by FedEx International air service to avoid $40 broker fee on top of the shipping fees listed above. You will receive an email from us after your order to confirm the best shipping rates and speed (for egg orders on ice) when needed.
Our main office on the east coast serves all US and worldwide partners, while our west coast office focuses service to the western hemisphere of the US specializing in California and surrounding states. All our silkworms and hornworms are grown in house and packed to order. We own exclusive rights to our silkworm strains and trade names. This includes our “Silkworm Pods®”, if it doesn’t have our logo on it; it’s not a real Coastal Silkworms™ “Silkworm Pod®”. Our silkworm eggs are produced from superior European strains, which go through strict cleaning processes to avoid contamination. Our special silkworm food (chow) blend is a result of over a decade in improvements and changes to our blend. Thus resulting in the highest quality product on the market for the price. We do not sell Chinese manufactured silkworm food or eggs.
